He and his wife Lori are the proud parents of three amazing children. They love working together as a family with a phenomenal group of people from all 50 states and 26 countries, inspiring healthy living around the world.
They started with a $50 investment (working from home) to find a way for Lori to stay at home as a mother before their first child… and now it is business with millions in sales. This has allowed them to live out what Curt claims as his life motto… “make a life, not just a living”.

Curt is also co-author of the book, “I Call Shotgun” and a highly sought after speaker.

Favorite Verse or Quote – Psalm 42:1 As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.

Parenting Failure –  Over reacting as a young parent to different parenting situations. I had to learn to wait until we were ready to respond instead of just flaring up.

Parenting Ah-ha Moment – How important a good marriage is to being an effective parent. We needed to be on the same page. Be in unity and of one accord. There are two parents, but we parent as one.

Proudest Parenting Moment – My oldest son Trey, is married and about to be a dad. He’s on staff with Young Life and to see him in front of a group of college students leading and sharing the Lord is more than I ever expected.

One thing you are excited about in this season – A new grandchild for sure. A new season with Lori. Things they are able to do together now, that once upon a time they had to hold off on while they had different priorities.

Lighting Round –

  •  Greatest fear – Fear of the unknown. Not knowing what I was getting into. I grew up in a broken home.
  • Best parenting advice – you have to help your kids choose their friends until they are able to choose them wisely.
  • Share a personal habit that you attribute some of your success – My quiet time. I wake up at 4am every morning and have my 2 hours.
  • Internet ResourcesYou Version bible app
  • Recommended bookThe Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here For?
    – Rick Warren

One thing they would do differently – be a little less legalistic – I understand grace better –

Top 3 Priorities for parenting – 1) Love your wife in front of your kids 2) Let your kids know the importance of God in your life (pursue God in front of them) 3) Model a good work ethic
